The wiring between rungs

Technology should make programs easier to run and easier to improve.

We build and use technology where it solves a real delivery problem: tracking people, coordinating workflows, supporting learning, connecting services and giving partners better visibility into outcomes. Technology is the means. Better delivery is the goal.

How we design technology

A frontline worker entering records at a centre computer
  1. Start with the service problem.
  2. Use existing infrastructure where possible.
  3. Integrate rather than rebuild.
  4. Collect only necessary data.
  5. Design around consent and authorised use.
  6. Give partners useful - not merely abundant - data.
  7. Design for frontline usability.

4Services beyond the transaction: credit, training, skilling, social security

Most e-commerce platforms are not built with a first-time woman seller in mind. We know this because we operate as a Seller Network Participant for ONDC ourselves, and we've seen firsthand where logistics, payments, and analytics break down for women micro-entrepreneurs and social-sector sellers. We built the Samhita TSP to solve those exact problems, not the generic ones a typical platform is designed around.

The platform gives sellers a fully customisable storefront, from product catalogues to pricing to contact details, alongside role-based onboarding built specifically for how ONDC requires SNPs, BNPs, and sellers to work. Underneath that, it handles the parts that usually break a first-time seller's confidence: automated payment settlement with a clear dispute resolution process, real-time order tracking across multiple logistics partners, and financial reporting that shows a seller exactly what they earned and why.

The platform doesn't stop at the transaction. Sellers onboarded through the Samhita TSP also get access to credit, entrepreneurship training, digital and financial skilling, and social security support, so going digital becomes one step in a longer climb, not a one-time event.

Backed by a Gates Foundation funded initiative, Samhita-CGF has onboarded women sellers onto ONDC through this platform for the past two years, built by a team that understood the seller's problem because we lived it as an SNP ourselves.
