[The Hindu – Business Line] Why companies prefer CSR in education

Samhita Social Ventures is featured in this Hindu Business Line article  which talks about mapping  the education interventions of 100 companies with the highest CSR budgets in India. The findings indicate that education remains one of the most popular causes for companies. School education is a popular subject for CSR: a study by Samhita Social Ventures, based on publicly available information from the top 100 listed companies, shows that more than three-quarters of them implemented at least one programme in education over the last three years.

Additionally, the study also highlights why companies are majorly concentrating their CSR efforts on infrastructure at the cost of other systemic issues that need reform.
