Overview

Higher education and the workplace across India lay a huge premium on English language proficiency. This has resulted in an aspiration for English language skills among all sections of the population. This has led to  a proliferation of private English medium schools and even government schools offering English medium education, serving semi-urban, rural and underprivileged sections of society. However, even after 10+ years of English medium schooling or the study of English as a subject, students still remain substantially deficient in English language skills. The students face the further prospect of poor outcomes in other subjects as well. A majority of the teachers teaching these students themselves have very limited English skills.  Karadi Path is a for profit social venture that seeks to address this need through low-cost, sustainable and scalable solution through our programs. Our methodology is an indigenously developed language learning solution based on the mother tongue learning approach and the unique Indian experience of multilingualism.  The content from our books can be delivered effectively even by teachers with limited English skills and at low costs.

Model

Our unique Karadi Path methodology programs are offered to students through institutions (schools and colleges) and also directly through a micro-tutor channel to radically improve the English skills of students and adults.  The income is generated either through the student or the institution using Karadi Path programs. The organization initiated the business to consumer (B2C) channel based on the Hub and spoke model for the Karadi Path programs through a unique Micro-Tutor network of micro-entrepreneurs. These micro-entrepreneurs not only open small outlets to sell our books but they also conduct classes for students who need support in English language.

How can you partner with us?

We look forward to companies who can sponsor institutions who cannot afford our Karadi Path programs. We would need their help to support Karadi Path in reaching out to academic institutions, government and other corporates in order to create awareness about the need for English language proficiency in students and at the workplace. They could help us jointly host workshops and seminars to publicize the unique solution offered by Karadi Path.
