[Business Standard] CSR: What keeps companies from doing good?

The constantly evolving rules and anomalies over tax treatment have constrained corporate programmes in the first year that the government’s CSR mandate has been in force. Apart from this the new rules also requires companies to set up a CSR committee at the board level.
