Apply for NASSCOM Social Innovation Honours 2012

imageNASSCOM Foundation pioneered the NASSCOM Social Innovation Honours in 2008, to recognise innovation in the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for social development. The Annual Honours aims to showcase projects that demonstrate best practices through exemplary use of ICT in areas of social transformation. It aims to identify projects where innovation could be in the form of a process or an application or product.

The Foundation aims to understand systems based on transfer and sharing of knowledge across the public, private and nonprofit sectors, meaning a social innovation can be a product, process or technology as also a principle, an idea, an intervention, or a combination of these using ICT.

“Technology and innovation has a large role to play in driving inclusive growth in India. Working closely with NASSCOM Foundation on NASSCOM Social Innovation Honours gives us the opportunity to jointly drive growth and honor talent across India. This initiative brings alive the spirit of innovation and can have a significant impact on the social landscape” says N.V. Tyagarajan (Tiger), President & CEO, Genpact

NASSCOM Foundation along with Genpact as its Title Sponsor is now calling for entries to the fourth edition of Genpact NASSCOM Social Innovation Honours 2012.
