Anil worked in the IT industry for over 25 years before he decided to follow his passion and move to the social sector. He now works with the leadership team at Samhita Social Ventures to chalk out growth strategies and partnerships with corporates and the social sector ecosystem. He mentors startups in the social sector and volunteers for the cause of children with special needs.
Over a span of 17 years at Intel, Anil led several initiatives for technology adoption in financial inclusion, rural development, banking and manufacturing sectors. During his tenure, Anil was a member of National taskforce as Business Model for National Optical fiber network (NOFN) – Department of Electronics & Information (DEITY -Govt. of India), Committee for rural transformation of Dept. of Posts and a member of the task force for Connectivity to Schools in Delhi to Access Educational Content – (DEITY, GoI).
In his last role as Country Manager for Education, Anil was responsible for leading Intel’s effort in transforming education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Anil has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics & Communications from the University of Mysore and has done an Advanced Management Program at IIM Bangalore. He has also done a Social Entrepreneurship Outlook Programme (SEOP) from the Centre for Social Initiative and Management (CSIM).
He loves nature and is into gardening, trekking and amateur wildlife photography.
