Priya’s work has spanned the spectrum of social entrepreneurship and financial consulting. She has helped incubate several social enterprises across the world before founding Samhita Social Ventures. Priya has Masters degrees from Yale University, University of Michgan – Ann Arbor and Mumbai University. She has worked at the Poverty Action Lab, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Arthur Andersen among several other ventures.
Madhu Bahl has totally more than 30 + years of experience in the education space which includes teaching, designing, training, content creation and building profitable models and interventions that are both scalable and sustainable. She has worked independently as a design and training consultant with well-known funding agencies and social organizations.
A qualified finance professional (ACA, AICWA, ACS), Sudhir has served articles with A F Ferguson & Co and served MNCs – Shell, Siemens, Ferodo, Colgate Palmolive and Heinz (as CFO and Finannce Director) as well as Owner Managed groups – Mittals, Bahwans and Mustafa Sultan as Group CFO. He has worked briefly in Australia, Mexico and for 22 years in the Middle East before joining Samhita.
Manjusha has over 20 years of experience working and managing projects with government departments, bilateral organizations and funding agencies in various states of the country including areas undergoing civil strife. Her focus areas include new born and child health, child rights, nutrition, overall community development, and health.
Sharad brings over a decade of experience in domains as diverse and varied as Financial Services, Technology & Manufacturing covering geographies like Europe, UK, Australia & South East Asia. He has worked across functions including but not limited to Management Consulting, Human Resources, Business Development, IT Infrastructure & Operations.
Suyash has been associated with Mastek since 1996 and was the Senior Technical Architect before joining Samhita. He has over 21 years of experience in software development, with expertise that included mentoring individuals & teams in their journey of Agile Consulting and engineering excellence. He was responsible for providing thought leadership and strategizing delivery.
Alpana is a post-graduate from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Isabella Thoburn College, Lucknow. She has worked in the social development space for over 22 years, fundraising, designing and developing content and conducting training for extensive mandates.
Anushree Parekh comes with extensive research experience with private and third sector organizations in the UK. Prior to Samhita, she worked as a researcher with New Policy Institute, a progressive think-tank based in London, where she designed and implemented customized research solutions for a range of clients from corporates to governments on a variety of socio-economic topics. Anushree is an Economics graduate from St. Xavier’s College.
Samir is an entrepreneur by passion with 13 years of experience in General Management, Business Development, Operations, Recruitment and Customer Relationship Management. A highly motivated and passionate professional who has applied and developed management skills throughout his career, Samir has been active in the start-up environment for over five years.
Arjun Prasad Mahankali comes with almost two decades of experience in development and
CSR. He is adroit in Rural Transformation Programmes such as Natural Resource Management (NRM) including watershed development, participatory irrigation management and sustainable agriculture. He did his post graduation in Sociology at Osmania University Hyderabad, holds a degree in Law and is pursuing MBA as well.
Nitish is a digital marketing consultant with a masters degree in International Business. Prior to joining Samhita he worked with an early education startup, where he worked on products/apps for preschool children.
Pranav’s innate desire to bring about social change made him join Samhita. Prior to Samhita, he was part of the Young India Fellowship program, where a Post Graduate Diploma in Liberal Studies exposed him to the many underlying complexities of India’s prevalent social issues. He has also worked at Mu Sigma, an Analytics firm in Bangalore for two years.
Sandhya Tenneti comes with more than six years of work experience in the environmental, social and governance (ESG) field. She has a Bsc (hons) from the University of Bradford, Masters in International Studies from North Carolina State University and a MS in Energy Policy and Climate from Johns Hopkins University.
Dhatri is rank holder of the Gujarat Board and a qualified Chartered Accountant with a Bachelors in Commerce. She has worked for more than 7 years in the Accounts & Finance sector. She has 3 years of experience as an article assistant and more than 4 years of post qualifications experience.
Palak has 2 years of experience in Operations and Project Management in software services and media industry. She also holds a BA(H) degree in Economics from Miranda house and a Post Graduation Diploma in Liberal Studies from Ashoka University. Being a Young India Fellow sparked her interest in working in the development sector which led her to Samhita. Travel and food occupy a major part of her mind.
Sukhjot’s desire to make positive impact, by supporting change agents and their work drove him to Samhita. His experience is an amalgamation of work within the creative and corporate sector. Prior to Samhita, he worked with an International Organization – Zycus for a year and a half and simultaneously running his own venture through which he lead a team of creatives to deliver projects for corporates.
Apart from pursuing her B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering from Mohali, Vanya remained an active member of AIESEC. She co-founded an online magazine- EP!C, where she managed a team of more than 40 writers. Always seeking new adventures; she joined a startup after college managing their web sales and MIS. But her heart was set out for more meaningful experiences notably in the development sector.
A mechanical engineer from Vellore, Sujay joined Samhita with a strong desire to contribute to social responsibility. Before Samhita, he has worked and helped in establishing Uddeshya India an NGO founded by like-minded individuals working towards Youth Empowerment.
Jency’s aspiration to work in the development sector led her to Samhita. She had secured multiple awards including -Annie Saraya Gold Medal and Mr. & Mrs. Mukadams Award for securing First Rank in Bachelors in Social Work at Nirmala Niketan.
Malcolm is a full-stack developer with experience in the telecom sector and a Bachelors Degree in IT. He also has a keen interest in studying the psychology of human-computer interaction and cybersecurity.
Namrata has worked with Medha Patkar in the Ghar Bachao Ghar Banao Andolan and Narmada Bachao Andolan. She has also interned with NGOs like Aaranyak, Sabuj Sangha, FAsCE India etc. She has a Masters in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
Nandini has completed the Young India Fellowship and holds a Bachelor degree in Commerce from University of Delhi. She has previously been involved with Make A Difference, NDTV and The Irrelevant Project in different capacities.
Prior to joining Samhita, Ragini was a Project Associate at Industree Foundation, which builds sustainable livelihoods for rural Indian artisans with a focus on women’s empowerment. In the past, she has interned with international NGOs Search for Common Ground and SOS Children’s Villages, as well as The Hindu. She has a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Journalism from American University (Washington DC).
Neerajha has an undergraduate degree in engineering, and has done her postgraduate education in Development Leadership. She has nearly 4 years of experience working at Tata Consultancy Services. Apart from her professional career, Neerajha co-founded ‘Vizhudhugal’, a voluntary youth organization that supports students in various sports and extracurricular programmes.
Rhea has recently completed her graduation from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai specializing in Economics and Statistics. She has been part of research projects that have included qualitative as well as quantitative analysis. Her year-long experience of volunteering as a teacher with an NGO, motivated her to seek a career in the development sector.
The quest to strengthen communities around her led Ritika to join Samhita. She holds a Master’s degree in Rural Development from Tata Institute of Social Sciences. During her Master’s she received the prestigious Best Fieldwork Award for her work with self-help groups in rural Maharashtra.
